Corporate IT standards represent one of an organization’s efforts to reduce complexity and cost for multiple projects. The justification is usually represented by simplified capital and operating costs as well as simplified technical and operational knowledge requirements. It is always important for an architect to understand the current standards as well as the rigidity of these standards on the initiative.

a) What are the official and unofficial IT Standards in the IT Environment?

b) What is the review process for analyzing a new technology, process and architectural or developer technique to become an IT standard?

c) What is the exception process to an IT standard does the organization have?
